The plot of “Wonderland of Love” centers on Li Ni, the emperor’s grandson, who is tasked with guarding the border and putting an end to the uprising. Despite being the emperor’s grandson, Li Ni’s father never showed him affection. He keeps his identity a secret and is happy enough to be a carefree front-line border general who doesn’t want to compete for leadership. In the course of fighting the rebels, he comes upon the driven Cui Lin, the sole child of General Cui Yi, the head of the Cui family army.
Cui Lin fought alongside the troops while disguising her actual identity as Lieutenant He. They frequently come into contact with one another on the battlefields.
