To preserve himself, Monkey (Raymond Lam) embarks on a path of everlasting cultivation. The voyage is challenging and perilous, but the golden feathered canary (Angelina Jiang), who gives up her own life for him, saves him. Traveling far and wide to study under a master, he swears to revive her. Along the process, he develops a troubled friendship with Yang Chan (Jiang Mengjie) and the haughty Yang Chan (Eva Chang). He also becomes involved in a conflict between the heavenly realm and the demons.
