Xiang Yun, who served in the Marriage Pavilion, was initially a cloud but was later changed into a fairy by the Red Thread Master. Xiangyun offered to assist her lord in finding Immortal Chu Kong, the God of War, a spouse but was subsequently seen bidding on his wedding. Due to their argument, which unintentionally tangled the crimson thread of fate, the two became entangled for many incarnations. However, their fate actually began much earlier, in a recollection neither of them had.
